The Problem
Parcel rating is more than a price lookup.
Shipment characteristics can affect carrier eligibility, dimensional weight, billable weight, accessorial classification, transit commitments, delivery-area charges, and fuel. The engine separates those concerns so the final quote can be traced back to the rules that produced it.
